Meet Our Team

Cortney Keene, M.Ed, CAS, BCBA, LBA

Clinical Director

Cortney has been working with children with a variety of needs including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, and others since 2005. Her experience includes running a district elementary autism program (EACH) at the Ottauquechee School. Currently, Cortney works with two projects through the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion (CDCI) at the University of Vermont: as a coach and trainer for Vermont Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (VTPBIS) supporting school teams with their implementation of the PBIS framework, and as a statewide behavior consultant for the Vermont ITEAM providing support to teams who work with students with low incidence disabilities and complex support needs. Cortney has long been interested in the science of behavior and she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2014 to pursue that passion. She is really excited to open Keene Perspectives with her husband Chris where they will focus on providing child-centered services using the principles of applied behavior analysis to have a positive impact on children and families facing behavioral challenges in the Upper Valley.

Cortney lives with her husband Chris and two cats (Business and Calamity) in West Hartford, Vermont.
